Refund & Cancellation Policy
For Website, Android App, and iOS App
Applies to: www.junubia.net, customer portals, Android app, iOS app
Business location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Effective date: April 2025
Last updated: March 5 2025
1. Purpose and scope
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the commercial rules that apply to orders placed with Junubia Net Trading through www.junubia.net, customer portals, invoices, quotations, and any related Android or iOS app. It should be read together with our Terms of Service, service descriptions, quotations, and Privacy Policy.
2. General rule
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a service description, quotation, signed agreement, or mandatory law, payments for digital services are non-refundable once the service has been activated, provisioned, delivered, registered, renewed, reserved, or materially performed.
3. Services commonly treated as non-refundable
The following are typically non-refundable unless Junubia agrees otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different result: domain name registrations, domain renewals, premium DNS, transfer fees, registry or ICANN-related fees, Google Workspace or other third-party software license fees, VPN subscriptions already activated, set-up or migration fees, custom configuration work, consulting time, and any usage-based or pass-through charges already incurred.
4. Eligible service cancellations
Where Junubia offers a refund window or money-back period for a specific hosting plan or subscription, the eligibility conditions, number of days, exclusions, and refund method must be stated on the order page, quotation, or service schedule. If no special refund window is stated, the general non-refundable rule applies after activation.
5. Trial services and promotional offers
Free trials, discounted promotions, or courtesy credits may be withdrawn or converted to paid service at the end of the stated period. Unless the offer expressly says otherwise, promotional credits are not redeemable for cash and are not refundable.
6. How to request cancellation
To cancel a service, submit a request through your account area or send written notice to info@junubia.net with sufficient account details. A request must clearly identify the service being cancelled and the intended effective date. For security reasons, Junubia may require verification before processing the request.
7. Notice periods and renewal deadlines
Cancellation requests should be submitted before the applicable renewal date or notice deadline shown on the invoice, order, or service description. Failure to cancel in time may result in renewal charges becoming due and payable.
8. Effect of cancellation
Cancellation stops future renewal of the affected service from the effective date confirmed by Junubia. Cancellation does not reverse services already consumed, eliminate accrued charges, or automatically remove backup, billing, support, tax, dispute, or security records that Junubia is entitled or required to retain.
9. Refund processing
Where Junubia approves a refund, the refund will ordinarily be returned through the original payment channel or another lawful method chosen by Junubia. Processing times may depend on banking networks, mobile money providers, card networks, or payment processors. Any third-party transaction, foreign-exchange, remittance, or banking charges may be deducted where permitted by law.
10. Partial refunds, credits, and goodwill adjustments
Junubia may, at its discretion and without creating a precedent, issue a partial refund, service credit, or account credit where appropriate. Goodwill credits, discretionary waivers, or one-time exceptions do not oblige Junubia to provide the same treatment in future cases.
11. Chargebacks and disputed payments
If a payment is reversed, disputed, or charged back, Junubia may suspend the associated service, reverse account credits, require alternative payment, investigate suspected fraud, and recover reasonable administrative costs to the extent permitted by law. Customers are encouraged to contact Junubia first to try to resolve billing issues before initiating a chargeback.
12. Fraud, abuse, and policy breach
No refund is due where a service is suspended or terminated because of fraud, abuse, illegal activity, prohibited content, sanctions concerns, false registration data, or material breach of contract, unless mandatory law clearly requires otherwise.
13. Account closure
An account holder may request full account closure after all active services have been cancelled or transferred and all outstanding charges have been settled. Junubia may retain certain records after account closure for tax, audit, security, fraud-prevention, registry, and legal purposes as explained in the Privacy Policy.
14. Questions and complaints
Questions about billing, cancellations, or refunds may be sent to info@junubia.net Complaints that cannot be resolved directly may be referred to a competent regulator, consumer body, or court where applicable.
